Dr. Mary received her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia in 1985. During her duration as a chiropractor, Dr. Mary also founded and operated AlterCare, a complimentary clinic that provided counseling, massage and chiropractic services for HIV and AIDS patients.
In 2006, the Georgia House of Representatives passed a resolution recognizing Dr. Mary Brittain and commending her for her many achievements and outstanding contributions to her community and state. She was also named Outstanding Georgia Citizen by the Secretary of State in 2007 as a result of her dedication to community outreach.
After being diagnosed with brain cancer in 2006, Dr. Mary stopped practicing chiropractic to focus on her own healing. She is currently Co-Founder and Health Educator at the Jobri Center for Integrative Health, which utilizes a plant-based nutritional program as part of its holistic approach. She also serves as a Survivor Consultant, helping individuals who have been newly diagnosed with cancer make decisions regarding medical and alternative treatment, as well as providing mentoring and general networking.
